Reinventing the wheel again

Some people have a remarkable predeliction for re-inventing the wheel.

And then wanting to charge you for it.

Number one in what respect, I wonder? Number one in self-praise and self-aggrandizement? Number one in wishful thinking?

11 thousand visitors per month?  *stifles a yawn*

We're topping that every few days publishing more than 1 million pages per month.

:-)

Theatre Australia is Australia's largest and most active theatre website. If you can advertise here for free, why would you pay to advertise somewhere else where you'll receive a tiny fraction of the exposure to essentially the same market?

My advice to anyone looking at purchasing advertising in any medium but especially on the web is caveat emptor - buyer beware. Do your research and beware of shonky stats. Look for independent ratings.

There have been plenty of pretenders over the years that have tried to set up their own one-stop place for the theatre industry. Any solution must rely on broad industry participation and extensive community involvement to build the necessary social capital. We've been doing this for nearly nine years.

Why re-invent the wheel?

Oh, that's right. $50 per page.

;-)

Cheers
Grant
