Are there any people aged between 15-25 (give or take) who are intersted in starting up (or being involved in) a theatre group in the Morley/Bayswater/ Bassendean area (In Perth Western Australia) we would have to start small but hopefully move on to greater things.

You dont need to be a great actor just have a passion for drama!

If your interested email me (your details, avail etc) at celesteunderhill@hotmail.com and ill add you to the list and contact you when auditions are held.

Re: Theatre Group? (WA)

Hi Celeste,

Are you trying to start a theatre group because you have a burning desire to create a brand new troupe, or because you aren't aware of the excellent community theatre groups nearby?

For instance, Garrick Theatre in Guildford might be a good start... you can find out more about them under a company search on this site or you can go to: http://www.garricktheatre.asn.au/

Or... http://theatre.asn.au/companyResponse.php3?CID=141 (I don't know anything about this one, but looks promising)

Best of luck...

Jason

Hello Celeste

The councils provide funding for youth groups so go and talk to them about your ideas, find a friendly councillor and ask for a hall and money for sound, lighting etc or consider linking in with a school.

You will need an ongoing source of new youth members as they move on to other inerests, so getting a notice in their annual directories will help.

Hope you get a group together.

I live around that area. Are you planning on starting acting classes there?

Re: Theatre Group? (WA)

Not classes per say more like a group to put on plays. Of course we could have workshops of different skills etc.
