Generation X: A Sci-fi coming of age story
Tue, 24 Jan 2006, 12:53 pmThe Generation X (GX) Project Committee is seeking expressions of interest from individuals and organisations to participate in the production of a series of short films and a movie anthology titled "GX"
"GX" is based around an underground competition called "The League" and the people involved in this competition. As the events of GX unfold, friends and enemies are made, personal agendas revealed and frightening revelations which threaten to tear people apart.
Science fiction is the platform which GX is based on, but the heart of GX is a coming-of-age story which covers themes like loyalty, personal closure, sacrifice and temptation.
The committee is seeking actors to fill the following roles:
- An emotionally scarred young woman on a personal vendetta
- A selfless young man participating in the League to help someone close to him
- A war veteran torn between loyalty to his new "family" and the forces which control his freedom
- A power hungry crime syndicate leader
- An accomplished, ruthless businessman
- An adopted daughter working to live up to her father's expectations.
- A league participant with a promise to fulfill
The committee is also seeking the following people to fill these crew roles:
- Producer
- CGI artist
- Director of photography
- Production design
- Production crew
- Composer
Experience is not required for this project as the kind of people the committee wants to work with are enthusiastic, hardworking, innovative and reliable with a love of Sci-fi and coming-of-age stories and a desire to get their first break into the industry.
Although participation on GX is on a voluntary basis, the committee will reimburse cast and crew members for their expenses and equipment. Furthermore, GX is a great opportunity to be part of a unique contribution to the Australian film industry and an interesting credit to your resume!
The committee however, WILL NOT TOLERATE the following people:
- Timewasters
- People who spend their time talking without action
To register you interest or for further information, Please write to:

We look forward to hearing from you.
