I need an actor (M/F) with an adult sounding, middle of the road Australian accent (not posh, not ocker) with bright personality, to record about 45 minutes of narration for an mp3 audio file. Clear diction for foreign listeners a must. Sydney-based.
Talented amateurs and aspiring actors welcome.

You get:
-- an Mp3 recording for your portfolio
-- recording experience
-- possibility of paid work if new business succeeds and requires further Australian voiceover work

You give:
-- your time and talent in a one-off recording session (approx 3hrs)
-- prep work to read the script and be ready to record (no memorisation needed but can't be reading cold)
-- all rights to the recording

Email me for an audition script and info.

While you're deciding whether to take this offer 'simply for the experience', consider this:

If you were receiving professional rates the job is probably worth at least about $25-30 an hour, plus your preparation time would be paid, plus you would get loadings depending on how widely the recording will be used (ie, statewide; nationally, internationally), and for the length of its use (6 months, 12 months..), and then when the contracted run expired, you would expect extra fees if they used the recording later down the track. Could conceivably be worth $400-$500 ...or more.

If you sell yourself short, the main experience you get is: how to sell yourself short.

Cheers,
Craig
