Hello all,

I know I am looking for something that seems impossible to find here in Perth, but I was hoping to locate African-Australian Male Actors aged between 18 and 25.

If anyone knows of someone could you please get them to contact me at anthonydavidharwood@yahoo.com.au
It would be Much appreciated. Thank you.

Lemme guess...you're putting on a production of 'Blue+Orange'?

At a guess, I suspect it's Six Degrees of Separation - Will Smith played the part in the film version.

Re: Searching for African-Australian Actor

Yes and Who played the other characters?

Or maybe I am doing Othello, or perhaps an African Australian version of South Pacific. Hang on, due to the well documented movement capabilities, maybe I will do a musical extravaganza.
Or maybe it's just a database that theatre companies can use as we all tend to look for someone of this description at least once every few years as a necessity to the script.

Either way, if anyone does know of someone, please let me know or get them to email me.

Or perhaps I will put on an all African Australian production of Pageant. Or a rehash of Grease where it is set in Africa instead of America - (actually I would like to see quite a few of these ideas)

Thanks,

Anthony

Contact Ian E Robertson on 0422 941 517 - he cast an African-American in his film Motife (which is still in post-production and seems forever will be).

Or get in touch with the University of Notre Dame; they have a tonne of Kenyan students there. Bound to be one who can act. Stick up a few notices or something. They have a theatre section, too.

Oh, and Donald Sutherland and Stockard Channing and Heather Graham, in answer to your other question.

Re: Searching for African-Australian Actor

Thank you for that Greg. I really appreciate the information.

But you did forget Ian McKellen and Anthony Michael Hall. But understandable as they were relatively small roles that they played.

Have fun all:)
