School Shakespeare in Hyde Park: Do you remember?
Tue, 4 Oct 2005, 10:02 amHi all,
I am currently doing research on a major exhibition to be curated by the QPAC Museum on performances of Shakespeare in Australia, which will coincide with the VIII World Shakespeare Congress in Brisbane next July.
I am interested in speaking with anyone who may have been involved in school productions of Shakespeare that were performed for NSW Education Week on the steps of the War Memorial in Hyde Park in the 50s and early 60s. We have footage of several of these productions from the National Screen and Sound Archives, and it would be good to augment this with some background stories from anyone who took part.
If you were involved or know anyone who was involved, I would like to hear from you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
