singing lessons?
Sun, 8 Jan 2006, 12:52 amHi IÂ’m just wondering if anyone knows of any good singing teachers in Melbourne. I want to train for more theatrical performances purposes. As I have had singing lessons before but can see myself more going down the line of musical theatre, if anyone knows anything IÂ’d really appreciated it if ya let me know
Cheers Casey.
Cheers Casey.

Hi Casey
I'm a singer and singing teacher from NSW so sorry can't help you personally, BUT I would HIGHLY recommend looking for someone trained in the Estill technique. I have been singing and teaching professionally for years, (locally and internationally), trained in Bel Canto, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Rock and contemporary and, as a teacher, I find Estill the best technique I have yet to come across.
Go to http://www.anats.org.au/ and click on "find a teacher".
There are quite a few teachers who teach Estill.
If you have no luck there, try Peter Egan on

or
(02) 8901 0870
He is a singing teacher, and trains singing teachers in the Estill method (I was taught by him) he will be able to help you.
All the best!
