The Poll
Wed, 5 Oct 2005, 08:24 pmPardon me for asking....
but what about us humble "backbone-of-Australia" industrial types?
You remember us... the guys that build your houses, assemble your cars, your security-screen doors and your windows, you know... the factory hands and labourers. Don't we rate a mention?? Okay so we may not have the most desirable or glamourous jobs on Earth... but we share a passion for theatre just as much as anyone else.
We accept the basic minmum wage because that is all tht is on offer... yet we take pride in our manual skills .. and in our contribution to theatre.
Come on Mr Poll-tergeist, aren't we repressed enough?
How about including us in your survey??
Thou mangled dismal-dreaming mammet!

My thanks for adding the working class masses to this poll, although judging by the results of the previous Poll I now find myself wondering whether "us common folk" are as theatrically passionate as I had at first thought.
No blame was being laid as to your posting of the poll, and I apologise if umbrance was taken on that score. Although your non-deplume was used in my post, I was not suggesting you were responsible for the original omission, rather that we be included.
No, my friend, I am not one of the "tradies" building your house.... but then again.... perhaps that isnt a bad thing. ;)
Graeme
P.S. I have voted now... *laffs*
