Actors needed for a SHORT HORROR movie!
Wed, 7 Sept 2005, 12:29 amHow would you react if a hand suddenly appears from the bottom of your toilet door to offer you a toilet roll, half soaked in blood?
Postgraduate Digital Media students from The University of Sydney, looking for a couple of actors to star in the lead roles of “Scrawl” a 5-6 minutes short horror.
Synopsis:
Jakob tired from his studies decides to take a toilet break. There he was intrigued by some peculiar toilet graffiti and decides to add some comments of his own. Little did he know that he is now the target of a mysterious figure called the Scrawler. Jakob is now forced into a sequence of eerie events that would ultimately lead to his demise. However could his death be justified?
Looking for:
Jakob – (19-25) Main character. A brash and outspoken smart ass, who is initially skeptical of mystical activities from watching too much horror movies. Emphasis will be on physical acting.
Scrawler – A dark, tall, skinny mysterious figure who is after Jakob. Appears to be slightly physically deformed. Does not have a lot of screen appearances but must create a strong impact on each appearance. Both male and female welcomed, we are open to your interpretation.
The Audition:
Auditions will be held at The University of Sydney (Broadway) next Monday 12/09/05. Times will be confirmed later during this week. There will be other project auditions present. You are welcome to audition for other parts in other projects. This is a good opportunity for anyone interested in getting a variety of experience.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
Must be available for shooting on consecutive dates from the 23rd to the 25th of September, plus a brief rehearsal either on the 16,17 or 18 (depends on what date suits you the most).
Unfortunately this is unpaid work, however we will cover your meal costs plus a DVD for your showreel. If you are interested please email your expressions of interest and/or CV to olivia.ta@gmail.com. Your time is greatly appreciated.
