Fred Schepisi, one of Australia¹s most celebrated and successful film
directors, will travel to Perth to exclusively attend the FTI Cinema
screening of The Devil¹s Playground, on Wednesday 13 July as part of a
four-week retrospective of his film work.
'The Films of Fred Schepisi' opens at the FTI Cinema on Wednesday 6 July and
continues weekly throughout the month presenting four of Schepisi¹s most
acclaimed motion pictures alongside rare and early short films.
The Devil¹s Playground screening will be introduced by the director himself
who will also participant in a Q & A session after the film, hosted by Mark
Naglazas, film critic for The West Australian newspaper.
Fred is responsible for films including Six Degrees of Separation, The
Russia House, The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith, Plenty and Roxanne amongst
others. He has directed actors such as Sean Connery, Meryl Streep, Tim
Robbins, Will Smith, Meg Ryan, Donald Sutherland and Michelle Pfeiffer.
