Last Wednesday morning (16th March, 2005) - Life Member of Garrick Theatre Club, Millie Smith passed away, aged 85.

Details of her service were not known to the general public until Friday's newspaper came out.

I was able to make it along to her beautiful service this morning (Saturday), and the family were overwhelmed to see so many Garrick members and patrons at St Matthews Church in Guildford.

As the congregation of people followed Millie and her family out of the church, and as Millie was placed into the funeral car for transportation to Karrakatta, there was a strong round of applause for our dear friend, in keeping with tradition as Ken's service, over 10 years ago now, rose to give him a standing ovation.

For those of you who knew Ken and Millie Smith, you will know what devoted members and wonderful people they both were - and unfortunately now for all - it is the end of an era. Millie has now joined her beloved Ken.

The family wanted me to pass on their love and thanks to all those who were unable to make it along today with the short notice, and also would like to thank the Garrick Theatre for hosting a last minute get together at the club after the service.

Sympathies to Don, Val, Jenny and their families.

Rest In Peace Millie.

SCAM: DEAREST I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE

Take your sick scam elsewhere "Rosemery"

The Australian Federal Police having been asking members of the community to report any and all information regarding your ilk since 1998:

http://www.afp.gov.au/afp/page/Media/1998/2407nigerian.htm

I gather that with the help of Interpol they're becoming quite efficient at tracking you down, especially when they're clueless enough to leave all the evidence you did on this site.

If there's actually anyone out there still silly enough to take "Rosemery" seriously for an instance check out these warnings from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade:

http://www.dfat.gov.au/geo/africa/scams.html

and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission:

Thou paunchy folly-fallen burn-bailey!
