My proposal for the multicutural half hourly show is to have a young adult panel ages ranging from 21 to 35 , both male and female who inform the viewer about cultural groups within Australia. /These presenters go out and about within Australia and bring back to the screen their stories. It may be an interview with a polish refugee and how they and their families have adapted after the second world war. It may be an isolated aboriginal tribe, it may be about a small community lets say Italians who now seem to outnumber the aussies in certain areas of Australia eg Port Kembla in NSW. It may be a jew who works in the local hospital and how they react to the Aussie way of life . It may be a jehova witness and how they would react to a life threatening illness which requires blood. The list is endless
The presenters would also look at their lifestyle, clothing , food, entertainment and sports and bring these to the screen. It would be enjoyable to watch and also allow the families being interviewed to teach us the basic skills of their language, their traditional dance and how they react to elderly members within the family.
thank you christine kirchhoff
