HOT! NEW! 2005 Blue Room Theatre Season!
Thu, 10 Feb 2005, 05:05 pmAfter an amazing season launch on Monday night, The 2005 Blue Room Whistle and Whirl Season is up and running!
Whistle and Whirl offers eight world premieres and one West Australian premiere, in a season written, directed, produced and performed entirely by West Australian artists.
Featuring the musical, the macabre, the maniacal and the moving, Whistle and Whirl offers a contemporary Australian landscape of soaring comical peaks, freefalling ideas, risky manoeuvres and plummeting depths.
The Red Chair Theatre Company presents ArtÂ’s Desire, three short plays by Julia Williams.
The Perth Surgeons present micky.com by playwright Peter Webb. Featuring a dynamic young cast directed by Melissa Cantwell.
Breathe, written by Vanja Clayton and directed by Bill McCluskey at the Blue Room Studio.
Yellow Glass Theatre presents Anthems for Doomed Youth, a new musical work by Perth composer Simon .R. Holt and directed by Chris Kabay.
Prolific Perth playwright Luke Milton presents the world premiere of Five Unenviable Lives. These five bittersweet monologues, directed by Kerry OÂ’Sullivan.
The Prickly Pear Ensemble presents the world premiere of Steven SnellÂ’s Keeper, winner of the 2005 George Fairfax award for playwriting. Directed by John Aitken.
Silver lining presents the world premiere of King Kevin, a comical rampage through history written by Peter Chikritzhs and directed by George Blazevic.
Renee Newman-StorenÂ’s writing debut She Told Me So, is presented by Renstar Productions and directed by Mark Storen.
Red Meat, a fast-paced macabre comedy laced with blood, vodka and a dash of Rohypnol, is presented by writer / director Suzanne Rofe at the Blue Room Studio.
