YOUNG ACTORS/MODELS
Tue, 8 Feb 2005, 07:03 amAfter reading a couple of the posts up here in different forums "becoming an actress" and "Lead role in movie auditions" - is any one else really concerned that this site is an easy forum for predators?
Please - if you are young - I admire your enthusiasm to be an actor or model but please get an agent (it is an easy thing to do - just ring them! Actors Management, Actors Now or Frog) and let them organise auditions for you. If you do get an audition from a post - when you ring up about auditions please question the person carefully about their background and experience, ask to be sent the script before you go to the audition, make sure the audition is in a public place (uni studio, theatre) rather than a private home and always, always take someone who is an adult, preferably your parent,with you. Remember this site is unmoderated - anyone can post a message so you do not have any knowledge of the person who has sent the post and regular users may not be able to personally endorse an individual or group who is posting.
Please do not post information abpout yourself with the claim "I'll do anything" and please do not give out your contact details and please do not send people your photo's if you do not know them.
