THEY'RE BACK!! Australian Centre Of Performing Arts is offering Free Introductory Workshops in Acting for Film, Television & Stage - with Joe Clements, Television Presenting & Interview Techniques - with Josie Parrelli, Film Making Workshops - with Gary Hegedus and Voice - with Odette Joannidis
Acting for Film, Television & Stage - with Joe Clements is a once-only ten
week intensive course will take actors with professional ambitions through a
journey beginning with improvisation and drama skills to characterisation and scriptwork to filming a scene or monologue, as well as performing a live theatre scene for the end of year showcase at the Centre.
Television Presenting & Interview Techniques - with Josie Parrelli is a ten, week course will cover all aspects and areas of television presenting, motivational talking, interviewing and voice techniques. This course is designed to give you the confidence and education in becoming a television presenter.
Film Making Workshops - with Gary Hegedus is a film-making workshop for all ages.
It explores the entire film making process from script writing, through to production and final editing of a short film.
Students are taught the technicalities of lighting, sound, directing, filming equipment/technique and are given hands-on experience in the production process. Experienced trainers facilitate the course.
Classroom activities cover both theoretical and practical learning in the art of filmmaking.
At the end of the course, students will have achieved the full production and editing of a short film produced in high-quality digital format on DVD digital disk. A formal certificate is issued at the end of the course.
Voice - with Odette Joannidis is a ten week course which aims to refine, simplify and strengthen the voice skills for performance.
On completion of this subject students should be able to:
Conduct an appropriate solo and company warm up
Utilise their vocal skills smoothly and sensibly through rehearsal and performance
Have a sound knowledge of using their vocal skills flexibly
Be able to adapt vocally to demands of style and space
