Lazy Susan's Comedy Den OPENING THIS WEEK

Most of you in Perth probably remember this as the old Effie Crump Theatre, above the Brisbane Hotel in North Perth (cnr Brisbane/Beaufort).

Well the pub has undergone major renovations and looks pretty swish with a new beer garden, interior, and restaurant....and upstairs has now become LAZY SUSAN'S COMEDY DEN...and the new home of THE BIG HOO-HAA.

The official opening (invited VIPs) is this Wednesday, but you can come along to the first night of STAND UP comedy on Friday (headliner Damo Clarke back from Melbourne), followed by the Big Hoo-Haa which is now every SATURDAY. Shows start at 8.30pm, tickets are $15/12.

Keep an eye out for more events on different nights of the week...we plan to have acoustic music nights, live readings of radio plays (to be recorded live and then broadcast on RTR), and other theatrical events.

But remember too that the venue is only just over half the capacity of the Freo...there is theatre seating for 50 plus cushioned floor seating at the front for about another 30....you'll need to book in advance to guarantee one of the 50 seats, after which it'll be first in the queue til the venue's full.
Currently, bookings will need to call Sam on 9336-3303 until we get the new office phone connected.

Non smoking, air-conditioned venue...licensed pub downstairs and you CAN bring your drinks into the theatre.

Details at www.lazysusans.com.au (so far the webpage is only in draft stage but it'll be operating soon)

Cheers,
Craig
