Acting, Presenting, Filmmaking & Voice Workshops - Melbourne

New Classes for Term 4
ACOPA would like to announce that for ONE WEEK ONLY the following workshops will offer a *FREE class to students who contact us by the end of this week. This is in honour of our new teaching staff, Joe Clements (Neighbours, The Secret Life of Us, Comedy Inc.), Josie Parrelli (Chart Busting 80Â’s, Channel 31) and Gary Hegedus (music videos & film-maker). *To attend the FREE class, students must be able to come on the dates as listed below and contact myself on the number provided.
ACTING FOR FILM, TELEVISION & STAGE - with Joe Clements
This once-only ten week intensive course will take actors with professional ambitions through a journey beginning with improvisation and drama skills to characterisation and script work to filming a scene or monologue, as well as performing a live theatre scene for the end of year showcase at the Centre.
*Free class on Saturday 23/10/04, 1pm-3pm
EVER WANTED TO HOST YOUR OWN TV SHOW?
TELEVISION PRESENTING & INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES - With Josie Parrelli
The ten week course will cover all aspects and areas of television presenting, motivational talking, interviewing and voice techniques. This course is designed to give you the confidence and education in becoming a television presenter.
*Free class on Tuesday 19/10/04, 6pm-8pm
FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS - with Gary Hegedus
A filmmaking workshop for all ages.
Explores the entire film making process from script writing, through to production and final editing of a short film. Students are taught the technicalities of lighting, sound, directing, filming equipment/technique and are given hands-on experience in the production process.
Experienced trainers facilitate the course. Classroom activities cover both theoretical and practical learning in the art of filmmaking.
At the end of the course, students will have achieved the full production and editing of a short film produced in high-quality digital format on DVD
digital disk.
A formal certificate is issued at the end of the course.
*Free Class Thursday 21/20/04, 6.30pm-8.30pm
VOICE WORKSHOPS - with Odette Joannidis
Learn to understand how correct alignment of the body can significantly support breath in everyday life. Through understanding of the breathing process the student will witness how breath control supports voice and articulation. Toward the culmination of the course a student will have the knowledge and skills to use their voice and speech to define varying characters.
*Free Class Saturday 23/10/04, 3pm-5pm
