Actors needed for Perth short

We are seeking actors for a 5-6 min. short film entitled Afterlove, to be shot sometime between the 16th and 25th of October (final dates yet to be determined). The film requires 2 lead actors to play a young, engaged couple and 2 actors for supporting roles. Filming on a beach south of Rockingham, possibly at sunrise, will be required for the two leads. Although unpaid, this is a great opportunity for actors to demonstrate their talents for show reels and gain some experience in a dramatic, character-driven film.

Synopsis:

Lisa and Brad, a young, happy and very much in-love couple, are involved in a horrific car accident and wake up on a surreal beach, unsure of where they are. Meanwhile in a suburban hospital, LisaÂ’s mum must decide whether to let her daughter pass away peacefully or allow an experimental procedure to be performed that could save her but leave her in agony and render her almost brain dead. As Lisa and Brad share their love for one another and ponder their whereabouts, LisaÂ’s mum ponders the fate of her daughter and what the right thing is to do.

Characters:

Lisa: Late teens to mid 20Â’s.
Innocent, fun-loving and sentimental. Her world revolves around Brad

Brad: 20Â’s.
Equally infatuated with Lisa and somewhat of a romantic.

LisaÂ’s Mum: 30Â’s +
Loving and unselfish.

Doctor: Mid 20Â’s +
Professional, caring. Must inform LisaÂ’s mother of her options.

Auditions will take place at Curtin Uni between 1-4pm on the 5th of October for the roles of Lisa and the Doctor, and the 8th for Brad and LisaÂ’s mum.
