AUSTRALIAN YOUTH CHOIR & NATIONAL YOUTH DANCE THEATRE
- PERTH -
The National Institute of Youth Performing Arts has casual short term vacancies in our "Institute Awareness Programme" in Perth
The positions are ideally suited to persons with an interest in music education and the performing arts.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Visiting Primary Schools, speaking to grades 2 - 7 about the programmes offered by the Australian Youth Choir and the National Youth Dance Theatre.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
WILL REQUIRE :
Vivacious personality
Some former training in the performing arts
Ability to sing in tune.
Ability to speak to groups of Primary School children (approx 30)
Professional dress required (collar & tie for men)
Current Drivers licence and Vehicle
Police security clearance
Mobile phone
Portable CD player
Successful applicants will undertake a training day, prior to the commencement of school visits at : 94 Outram Street, West Perth
N.B. All schools will be contacted by the NIYPAA office following
the visit by the representative.
DUTIES :
To visit schools by appointment and speak to children in Grades 2-7, about the programmes offered by the Australian Youth Choir and the National Youth Dance Theatre.
To distribute information to schools as necessary, according to a daily schedule
CONDITIONS:
Persons appointed to the various positions will be required to commence each day at the first scheduled school appointment and continue throughout school hours - 9.00am - 3.30pm. They will be required to visit the State office at the end of each working week.
HOURS:
Part - time 9.00am - 3.30pm
Approximately 4 - 5 visits per school day, Monday - Friday.
LOCATIONS:
Metropolitian Perth
SALARY:
$425.00 per week, plus superannuation
or $85 per 6 hour period. (paid fortnightly)
FUEL ALLOWANCE:
$50 per week, or $10 per day
