JJJ Raw Comedy WA winner - at the Big HOO HAA
Fri, 27 Feb 2004, 12:33 amYes, Werzel's Comedy Lounge hosted the WA grand final of the Triple J Raw Comedy competition....11 new standup comedians who made it through the heats and semi's of the past several weeks.
Congratulations to Claire Hooper, who is the 2004 WA winner, and will go on to compete nationally with the hope of then going on to Edinburgh.
Also Andrea Gibbs, who was the 4th place getter.
Both Claire and Andrea are regulars at the BIG HOO HAA...tonight's the last show for February. Check out the What's On and get your ass down to The Fremantle Hotel for some hilarious improvised theatre games/drama/stand up.
Don't forget when you've paid for 3 shows (only $10 full price) and get your card stamped, you get the 4th one free.
Cheers,
Craig

Re: JJJ Raw Comedy WA winner - at the Big HOO HAA
Great show last night. Damon Lockwood is a winner host, he's almost more entertaining than the improv action itself. He should be a little stringent in choosing offers from the audience I think, because proctology didn't work for me. Toilet humour, sex and drugs are rarely funny as the more arbitrary, off the wall issues improvisation could deal with. Why do people suggest such things?
I'll never forget "pave ningaloo!". Definitely sad that I must be without any Hoo-Haring for two weeks.
