Tempest invitations
Wed, 18 Feb 2004, 08:29 amGRADS apologise to everyone who wasted their journey last night attempting to attend The Tempest. We were ready to cope with the blistering heat, but the heavy rain half an hour before curtain-up put the kibosh on our opening. We couldn't have attempted to power up the lights for a couple of hours after that.
Believe me, the cast and crew are more disappointed than any of you patrons. We've worked extremely hard on this production and are dying to show you the fruits of our labour.
Anyone who had an invitation to the opening can use that invite all this week. We are performing (deo volente) tonight , Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The rest of you - come and buy a ticket.
$15 full, $12 concessions.
New Fortune Theatre, UWA.
8pm, Feb 18-21 and 24-28
Regards,
Jonno, for GRADS.

Re: Tempestuous tempest
One cannot but see the irony in a production of "The Tempest" being forced off-stage because of... well.. a tempest.
(Sorry... someone had to say it!) :o)~
peace,
D.M.
