The night before Valentine's...

Sat, 14 Feb 2004, 01:56 amFantastic crowd tonight; filled to capacity but not uncomfortably overcrowded like our last two specials....The teams were very well matched, the girls (Claire, Libby, Andrea, Michelle) coming back in the last bracket to beat the guys (Sam, Vito, Sean and Xavier). Damon Lockwood prancing around as Cupid held it all together in his inimitable style.
A few new ideas were tried on the night; over the coming weeks we'll be trying more, so if you think you've seen it before, you might be pleasantly surprised.
And another pleasant surprise is the introduction of our "Hoo-Haa Habit" card...come along to 3 shows and get your card stamped...and the 4th show you attend is FREE !

PS Also worth plugging the Triple J Raw Comedy competition, Thursday nights at Werzel's Comedy Lounge (Hyde Park Hotel). Last Thursday Andrea made it through to the finals. Claire will be in the second semi final this Thursday, (along with 9 other up and coming comedians) and then it's the finals, with the WA winners going on to compete nationally. Pulling big crowds, you could always make it one bigger....
