Tue, 20 Jan 2004, 12:20 amVagabond Theatre Presents
The Angriest Video Store Clerk In The World 2: You Only Rent Twice
Following the smash - hit success of its 2 seasons in 2003, The Angriest Video Store Clerk In The World returns in a brand – new adventure “You Only Rent Twice”.
Having escaped the island prison and the shackles of his evil captors in the last episode, the Clerk returns to his position at the Video Store. He slips back into his old life of throwing cassettes and threatening customers without a care in the world, but doesnÂ’t know whatÂ’s about to hit him when Eve, the Nicest Video Store Clerk In The World, sets up shop right across the road!
Who is this mysterious Eve? Where is she from? Why is she here? WhatÂ’s that funny smell? Why does she look soÂ… familiar?
The Clerk finds himself yet again the unwilling hero in a new highly – derivative tale of intrigue, suspense, and murder as the fate of the entire world (and the production of Starship Troopers 2) hangs in the balance!
Starring Sonia Marcon, Dean McAskil, Grant Watson, Talei Howell – Price, Nathan Tetlaw, and Patrick Spicer as The Clerk.
Strictly Limited Season runs from 17th – 28th February 2004, 8.00pm, at the Rechabites Hall 224 William Street Northbridge.
Tickets: $15 Full / $10 Concession

Re: The Angriest Video Store Clerk In The World RETURNS!
I just saw the play, and it immediately made me want to see the first one....partially because I have absolutly no idea who the hell those rabbits were (I'm sorry if I ruined anything for anyone)...does anyone have details on if they are do showing last years original play?

Re: The Angriest Video Store Clerk In The World RETURNS!
hi letsburn -
first, thanks for coming to the show. as for last years show, we did it twice (in feb and may 2003 i think),and at the moment, there arent any real plans to do it again, as we have a new show with new cast and story.
however, you might want to read The Angriest Video Store Clerk In The World comic book, written and drawn by Grant Watson. its found in Quality Comics in the city when the issues are in.

Re: The Angriest Video Store Clerk In The World- In Celluloid??
Could this be the perfect opportunity to market videos of the first show? Think about it! What video store clerk wouldn't treasure such a classic?
By the way, I loved the show guys ;)

Re: The Angriest Video Store Clerk In The World RETURNS!
From the creator:
The rabbits are known as the Executive Bunnies, and their names are Binky, Flopsy and Perky. They are the CEOs of Worldwide Pictures, who produce such classic hits as the Bloodsoaked Brothers franchise, The Ancient Life Of Lovebirds In The Spring and a film adaptation of Tetris.
They're something of a regular feature in the comic book, and were the villains of the last play.
I ummed and ahhed for a long time about including them without explanation in the second play, but decided in the end that anyone who hadn't seen the original would probably just accept three rabbit criminal masterminds fairly quickly and go about their day.
