Hey There

Not sure if anyone is able to offer me a clue here. I am in Perth for 12 months and am really keen to get into a bit of theatre work while I am here.

I have talent but limited experience. I am twenty five and have done a few courses here in WA as a kid and at the CAE in Melbourne last year.

I am not looking to be paid as am willing to dedicate myself through my own self motivation. I have a day job but would love to extend myself to this, really would love to have some good fun in the medium developing some skills along the way.

Any tips would be great.

Cheers

Tom

Do a one-act, one-character presentation through either an established amateur group, museum, or church with a stage willing to allow you to perform. I have done the latter in showcasing my plays. If interested, I have a one-act, one-character play entitled ARCTIC QUEST. It was presented at local church (with ideal stage setting) and was quite successful. If interested, I can email as an attachment the play. No royalties if performed in a museum, art gallery (in conjunction with related exhibit), or educational institute, or as a showcase presentation.

Logline: An American physician reflects on his ill-fated 1900 expedition to the North Pole.

Setting: Bare stage with grayish-white scrims and equally dismall, in expressibly painted flats. Any props are minimal.

Time: August 1900.
