New Blue Room Season/Brochure
Fri, 25 July 2003, 03:58 pmThe Performing Arts Centre Society celebrated the launch their 2003 Blue Room Season last night.
Attended by the 150 VIP's and guests were given the new brochure, Blue Room lollies and were entertained by delightful MC Alex Manfrin, gracious words from Ivan King along with intriguing and hilarious snippets from the upcoming season.
This bright new season consists of 11 new and original works from Western Australian writers, directors and producers.
Highlights of this illuminating season include Sex, Drugs and Self-Control, from the team that brought you “Across Hellfire” three weeks of debaucherous and hilarious sketch comedy.
In the Rechabites, Hayman Theatre Company presents the Gothic masterpiece of arts wank “The Cenci” followed by the dangerous comedy presented by Theatresports, Suspect, A Game of Murder.
The season runs from July 03 to December 03 and includes the second annual Blue Room Christmas Season which will a delightful mix of magic with “the magic matt show”, dynamic cabaret with “Quanta Costa”, the ride of your life with “Casual drinks O’ Stoopid” and stunning musical curation with “Tic(k)
Alongside the development program is a new initiative supported by PACS. Playreadings and Professional Development workshops will be held within both venues in the next 3 months.
The professional development workshops will be run by industry professionals in areas such as lighting and technical support, marketing and promotions, and accent dialect coaching.
As well as a bright new season with all the colours of the rainbow, PACS proudly to presented our new logos for Rechabites Hall and The Performing Arts Centre Society.
So drop into the Blue Room and pick your new program and come and see some bright and vibrant theatre that takes Perth to a whole new voltage!
