WA Youth Theatre Co Workshops

WORKSHOP PROGRAM 2003
WORKSHOP 1:
The first workshop will involve only boys and focus on physical theatre. The workshop series will be co-ordinated by Craig Williams, as the participants work through different forms of physical theatre, towards a showing at the end of the last session. Areas to be covered will include theatre combat, improvisation, circus skills and other physical components of theatre.
Dates: August 3, 10, 17, 24 at 1-5pm Performance August 24 at 6pm
Venue: King St Arts Centre
Cost: $60.00 for members $70.00 for non members (includes membership fee)
WORKSHOP 2:
The second workshop will focus on the director's role. The workshop series will be co -ordinated by Phil Thompson with guest directors invited to present specific aspects of the directing process.
Dates: August 31, September 7, 14, 21, 28 at 1-5pm
Venue: King ST Arts Centre
Cost: $80.00 for members $90.00 for non members (includes membership fee)
WORKSHOP 3:
The third workshop series will be presenting Musical Theatre skills as the
company works towards the Musical Theatre project in 2004. The workshops will be co-ordinated by Anne Adlem who has recently returned to Perth after spending several years in Europe performing in large Musical productions.
Dates: October 6, 13, 20, 27 at 1-5pm Performance Oct 27 at 6.00pm
Venue: King St Arts Centre
Cost: $60.00 for members $70.00 for non members (includes membership fee)

PS I'm currently in London studying at the Globe Theatre (as a direct result of my participation in one of WAYTCo's 2002 workshops), and upon my return I may be holding some Shakespeare workshops. Details for these haven't been finalised, but I'll keep you posted.
