THIS ENDLESS SHORE by Reg Cribb directed by Jenny Davis and performed by the WA Youth Theatre Company

Don't miss the latest production by WA's premier Youth Theatre Company, starting this Thursday at The Victoria Hall, 179 High Street Fremantle.

'This Endless Shore' has been written on the company by acclaimed local writer, Reg Cribb (writer of Perth Theatre Co's 'The Return') for the opening of the New Maritime Museum in Fremantle. The show incorporates much of Western Australia's maritime history, from the comedy of bored kids in Dumbleyung during the 1960s waiting for Don Campbell to break the water speed record, to the moving and inexplicable loss of the HMAS Sydney during World War II. The show incorporates song, dance and physical theatre in an energetic, fascinating, funny and often moving presentation by some of the state's most talented young performers.

Thanks to an Australia-India Council grant, the show will be touring to India in 2003 so catch 'This Endless Shore' before it leaves port!

'This Endless Shore': 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 September at 8pm plus a 12:30pm matinee on the 20th with an $8 special for school groups. Tickets available from WAYTCo on 9226 2144. For ticket prices see the 'What's On' section on this website.

And while we're on the subject, don't forget Yellow Glass Theatre's production of 'The World Goes Round', a celebration of the music of Kander and Ebb at the Mosman Park Arts Foundation from 2 October starring Analisa Bell, Amanda Chesterton, Chris Kabay, Bree McGurk, and Stuart Laing with musical direction by Simon Holt.
