The Fantasticks

I discovered today, to my consternation, that I can find not a whisper on this website about a pending production of the Jones-Schmidt musical The Fantasticks, which was to be produced at Roleystone Theatre Company. Can anyone from that company or the wider community fill me in as to whether this production is going ahead? I ask so anxiously because I was denied the opportunity to direct this play with a stellar cast for around the same time due to a conflict with Roleystone, and will be not too impressed if it turns out the play is not going ahead, as I would have perhaps hoped for a phone call letting me know that my company could go ahead with it all. This is most probably in vain now, but I would really like to know if The Fantasticks will be going ahead. I really really hope it will. Really.

Yours at the end of a really bad day,
Toby

Re: The Fantasticks

Heya

Yes! "The Fantasticks" is well into rehersals up at Roleystone Theatre!

And Yes! This is my chance to plug the show! Whoo hoo!

The Fantasticks, directed by Veronica Overton-Low and musically directed by Craig Skelton is "...about love, fathers, children, dreams, wishes, laughter, tears...It's about Life!".

With a well rounded cast of Paul Treasure, Dannielle Ashton, Peter Carr, Paul Presbury, Patrick Berry, Jack Barker, Rory Cornelius and Katherine John as The Mute, it's sure to be a bucket load of laughs a minute. And those laughs ARE intentional....

Nonetheless! Dates are :
August 7th 9th 10th 14th 16th & 17th
Tickets are $15 for Adults and $10 Concession (not including students sorry!)

Bookings can be made on 9390 5352 - those please call between the hours of 9AM and 5PM!

Re: The Fantasticks

Glad to hear it is going ahead - I had a sudden jolt today when I realised I had heard nothing about the Roleystone production, and that if it was not going ahead, then I would re-assess options after Death of a Salesman...

Best of luck with your production.

Re: The Fantasticks

Greetings to any of my WA friends who read this.

I am desperately seeking Dannielle (Ashton), my former pupil and friend!

How time hes flown. It seems only a few weeks since she wrote to me about The Fantasticks, excited about getting the role of Luisa.

I have been trying to get in touch but her previous email addtress must have changed - also her mobile number.

Will anybody in contact with Dannielle please ask her to email me at arthur@lan.to or phone (08)82449483.

Thanks
Arthur
