Re: Ruth Cracknell
We will miss Ruth also. The show Mother and Son was one of our favorite comedies though we only got to see about a dozen episodes. It was broadcast here in USA by PBS television.
We watched our episodes over and over dozens of times each. All of the actors were excellent, but Ruth was spectacular.
I am desperately hoping that someone in Australia has the series on tape or knows where to find them. My son and I would very much like to see all the ones we missed. I would appreciate any link to help us find this. It would mean so much to us.
Rest easy, fair dame. You brought us much joy, assuredly you reached hearts worldwide.

Re: Ruth Cracknell
The ABC online shop has them.
http://shop2.abc.net.au/abcasp/browse/product.asp?product_id=453528
They are in PAL format so you would have to have an NTSC/PAL vid player or the ability to translate them.
Hard to believe they are over 10 years old.
