Theatre Workshop
Tue, 5 Feb 2002, 02:53 pmJOONDALUP ENCORE THEATRE SOCIETY (Perth, Northern suburbs) is giving you the opportunity to participate in theatre skills enhancement two nights a week for three weeks prior to the auditions for a musical play written and directed by Mary Troup.
Mr Andy King, past tutor in musical theatre at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University, will be conducting the workshops.
"The actor will complete the course with a very clear understanding of the process the actor will carry out to bring a character fully to life and ensure truth in performance. Course participants will reach this understanding through a gradient series of games, exercises and discussion rather than through a lecture format. Participants will of course NOT BE expected to take part in physical warm-ups or stage fighting work that is beyond their physical abilities."

Time: 7 - 10 pm
