Effie Crump - Free ticket for Equity Members!
Fri, 1 Feb 2002, 11:32 amCOLLECT YOUR FREE TICKET!!!
It's just about to be announced in the next WA Equity Bulletin, that the new Artistic Director of Effie Crump Theatre (North Perth), Marcelle Schmitz, has instituted a new access policy for professional performers.
Effie Crump is offering one free ticket per season to card carrying,
financial members of the MEAA's Actors' Equity section. To take up this offer, you will be required to book through Effie Crump directly not through B.O.C.S. and you must present your current membership card when collecting your ticket.
If you cannot present your card (even if you've accidentally left it home) Effie Crump reserves the right not to supply a free ticket for that performance. (So remember to have it on you because refusal could be embarassing)
This is an absolutely brilliant offer and is not simply "papering the
house". Effie's can ill afford to paper houses. It is Effie's way of
saying thanks for the years of support from Perth's professional performers.
Spread the word.
Another direct benefit of Union membership.
Cheers,
