VALE: Elizabeth Crewes
Sat, 12 Jan 2002, 11:56 amI'd like to extend my very deepest felt condolences to the family of the late Liz Crewes.
Liz was a person of exceptional generosity and love. She came into my life just over a decade ago. I will never forget how, from the first moment we met she gave me nothing but a tremendous amount of encouragement and personal support - as both a young performer, and as a person.
Liz was one of those amazing people with the ability to add ‘good-feeling’ to those around her. Oftentimes I remember visits to Playlovers where her smile and simple welcome were highlights of my evening…I know she will be sadly missed at the club.
Whenever I would see her, (which I shamefacedly admit was all too infrequently in the last few years), the same unstinting encouragement and generosity were always evident...I feel truly privileged to have known her.
I join with those in the theatrical community who are mourning the loss of this very special person...may she rest in peace, always.
