Platform Productions is holding it's annual 'Nite of Tri'!
This gives first time writers a chance to show their work!
This time is Alitia Martin's turn!
She has written a play called 'DRAGBAR'!
"DRAG BAR"
Written and Directed by
ALITIA MARTIN
John shares a house with his good friend Marion, who works at Drag Bar; a boutique that caters for a plethora of fetishes, primarily X-dressing. Marion befriends one of her clients, Gary, and soon finds out that he and John are old school friends; before long the guys renew their friendship. Especially since they share a common fetish - X-Dressing. John lives in constant fear of his parents discovering his secret.
All John and his friends want is to be accepted for who they are...............
DRAG BAR, it's all about acceptance.
performance dates are:
Friday 30th November
Saturday 1st December
Friday 7th December
Friday 8th December
starting at 8:00pm every night.
it is being performed at The Studio, Subiaco Theatre Centre, 180 Hamersley Road, Subiaco, Perth.
this is definitely worth seeing!
Alitia Martin and CaAtherine Meredith can be heard on Sunday night's Arts Program and next weeks Morning Show at "Triple J" promoting "DRAG BAR". The illustrious Director and Artistic Director can also be heard on 100FM and RTR.
Also watch Stateline on ABC on Friday night at 7:30pm to see the actors and hear their point of view on the play.
