GODSPELL
Thu, 4 Oct 2001, 02:31 pmSaw Panorama's Godspell in Frankston last week and was VERY impressed. For a youth company they have put on a fabulous show. Luke Dawson and Scott Charlesworth both play their characters with relative conviction, but the real higlight is the ensemble. Another 30 odd young actors singing and dancing with so much energy and enthusiasm. Every gets something to do, which must be very rewarding. Big mentions to Maggie Jacob, for Bless The Lord and Jeska? Shanahan for her version of Learn Your Lessons well. Andrew Lane has done some great things with the music and Brian Hugo has introduced some wonderful harmonies to the cast. Kimberley Falcke has done a great job in moving the whole cast. Director, Shannon Mead, who is only young, has brought a sense of sensitivity and maturity to this production. Will be looking forward to see if there are any nominations in the upcoming Theatre Guild Awards.

RE: GODSPELL
Thank you very much for your comments. The cast will appreciate the support that they are getting from their theatre community. It has been a long and exhausting job as Director, but ultimately very rewarding.
We only have 3 performances to go and I believe that two of them are sold out!
Thanks so much to everyone who has been involved in this show and those who have come to support it.
See you next time around.
Shannon Mead
