AUDITIONS: King Lear
Wed, 10 Nov 1999, 10:42 pmUniversity Dramatic Society and Graduate Dramatic Society join forces to present the sixth season of summer Shakespeare in the New Fortune Theatre at the University of WA.
This year's production will be King Lear directed by John Milson with Andy King playing the title role. This annual event offers audiences, actors and crew the unique opportunity to experience Shakespeare played in the only replica Elizabethan theatre in the southern hemisphere.
If you are interested in auditioning, John has asked that you prepare (not necessarily learn) two pieces for the audition, one modern and one Shakespeare. Please bring a copy of each for him to read.
Auditions will be held this coming weekend, 13th and 14th November from 10am-4pm at the Bradley Studio, which is behind the Octagon theatre at UWA - most street directories have a map of the campus showing the theatre.
If you would like to audition, you are asked to ring Jonathan Beckett on 9354 5315 to book an audition time.

Did you miss last weekend's auditions for King Lear directed by John Milson?
There will be call-backs this weekend and, as several people rang to say they were unable to make last weekend's auditions, John may be prepared to audition some more people this coming weekend, 20-21 November.
