His ‘commuted’ punishment is to discover what do women most desire. A wizened old hag gives him the answer, but at a price… The Merchant's Tale: (Victorian Melodrama) A lecherous old villain forces marriage on a young village girl, but his sight fails. She climbs a tree to pick fruit, while he stands guard, but a hunky serving man is already hidden in the branches...
