Calling Adjudicators for 2012 The Independent Theatre Association is seeking Finley Adjudicators for next year. In an attempt to raise the status of our very hard working adjudicators and in an attempt to attract some people who may or may not have been involved before, we attached an honorarium to the job of Finley Adjudicator. This will be $2000 over the year. A course for people interested in being an Adjudicator will be run at Dramafest. Participating in this course does not automatically mean that you will be an adjudicator you will still need to complete an application as below. Those interested in the course should contact Kerri via email on Hilton.kerri@gmail.com In order to make sure that the people we get are the best possible people, we have attached a job description for this position. If you feel that you would like to be a Finley adjudicator and that you are able to meet the requirements of the job description, please send us a letter which addresses the job description and criteria and have it to the Independent Theatre Association office at 2 Delhi Street West Perth by no later than close of business on the 17th October. All correspondence must be received by that date by post. Once all correspondence has been received a training session will be held and then a selection panel will choose our adjudicators for the following year. Job Description: Must be able to see all plays and musicals throughout a 12month period. This means if you are going away or on holidays for an extended period of time, you will be ineligible. Must have a number of years’ experience in acting and at least two or more of these areas: Backstage/ technical/ directing /musicals and have that expertise recognised by your peers. Must be willing to write critiques/reviews to clubs within a two week turnaround period of seeing the show. Must be willing to be as impartial as possible. Must be willing to perform in neither a play or musical next year Must be willing to uphold the values and policies of the ITA Must be confidential and not allow results to be known prior to Finley Awards Must be willing to be involved in Nominations and Finley night. Travel to regional centre may be required and further remuneration will be made in that event. Once all the applications are in, a selection panel will choose the adjudicators for next year.
