TUESDAY APRIL 5th 2011  7 pm

The second play-reading for 2011 will be held at the Old Mill Theatre, Mends Street, South Perth on TUESDAY April 5th (A change of day for just this once as we have a performance of Company- The musical on the 6th)

All are welcome, there are no pre-requisites and you do not need to be a member to participate. There is no charge  for anything.

Light refreshments are served at 7 pm ready for a start at 7.30

On Tuesday 5th April we will be reading a play chosen by Susan Lynch, an established OMT director (Hotel Sorrento; Travelling North; Art;
The Shape of Things
amongst others).  Susan is hoping to direct  Under the Blue Sky by David Eldridge
in 2012 and is looking forward to feedback from the play reading.

Under the Blue Sky
...is a comedy and a study in three scenes of romance and sexual frustration.  The three vignettes are subtly connected as they explore the lives of 6 very different school teachers. A reviewer has written “Eldridge transmutes every day encounters into flights of psychological truth....” and “the dialog is swift, unexpected and in its way perfect”.

Under the Blue Sky was a ‘smash hit’ at the Royal Court Theatre in 2000 and was revived at the Duke of York’s Theatre in 2008.

For further information contact oldmilltheatre@iinet.net.au We hope to see you there.
