Young national finalists aged between 16 and 19 years showcasing their 10 min monologue in drama or musical theatre.
Prepare yourself for a kaleidoscope of solo performances as they portray characters that will take your emotions on a journey of joy, sadness, anger, despair, laughter, courage, bewilderment, inspiration, confrontation and much more. It is what makes Storm the Stage a special event.
Storm the Stage is a national Rotary project backed by IFAC (International Foundation for Arts and Culture) and is supported by Hugh Jackman and Jill Perryman as patron, both Western Australian international actors.
Our 2010 National Finalists are:
Western Australia: Michelle Berg, Amberly Cull, Skyler Ellis, Jonathon Holborn, Courtney Hough, Adam Lebransky, Caolan Maxwell, Ariel Simone, Lisa Woodbrook.
Tasmania: Camilla Best, Robert Manion, Oliver Reading,Jackson Trickett, Petronella van Tienan.
Queensland: Joel Guest, Tiffany Radovic, Alex Whitaker.
New South Wales: Tayla Jarrett.
Victoria: Lachlan Graham, Jasmine Jehn.
South Australia: Euan Doidge
Prizes will be awarded to:
Best Drama Performance $3,000
Runner Up Drama Performance $2,000
Best Musical Theatre Performance $3,000
Runner Up Musical Theatre Performance $2,000
Briggs & Gibbs Award for Special Audience Appeal $1,000
Prizes are awarded to assist performers to further their opportunities in studies and experience in the theatre industry.
