The Importance of Being Earnest at Kwinana
Tue, 4 May 2010, 04:58 pmDue to scheduling issues, Kwinana Theatre Workshop's August production will now be:
Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest
to be directed by Paul Treasure
Due to the time limitations we will not be holding regular auditions, but are seeking expressions of interest from anyone wishing to be involved in the production.
Please contact the director on 0402 530 529 if you wish to be involved
or email me on ctcadmin@carealot.com.au
And to answer the inevitable question...
Yes, Perth does need another production of Earnest
Perth will ALWAYS need another production of Earnest
And we will KEEP seeing productions of Earnest until someone writes something better!
:-)

Always Room
Always room for the 'Importance' Paul - hope it all goes well. Bloody hillarious moments that will always work in theatre:
"I don't play accurately - any one can play accurately - but I play with wonderful expression."
"Really, if the lower orders don’t set us a good example, what on earth is the use of them?"
"When one is in town one amuses oneself. When one is in the country one amuses other people."
"My dear Algy, you talk exactly as if you were a dentist. It is very vulgar to talk like a dentist when one isn't a dentist. It produces a false impression..."
"All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his."
"The only way to behave to a woman is to make love to her, if she is pretty, and to some one else, if she is plain."
"Relations are simply a tedious pack of people, who haven’t got the remotest knowledge of how to live, nor the smallest instinct about when to die."
"I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train."
"I could deny it if I liked. I could deny anything if I liked."
Every actor should have done 'Importance' at least once. If you havn't then give Paul a call and get involved.
Looking forward to it
Cheers
Peter

"Ah, this is all clearly metaphysical speculation and, like most metaphysical speculation, has little reference at all to the actual facts of real life as we know them"
I wish I could be in this :(

Perhaps we should attend this and break our Wilde cherries?
If not, we can always go next year ;)-
All the best with it Paul

What are you suggesting?
What are you suggesting? That I've never seen anything by Oscar Wilde?
Come to think of it.....
Oh, yeh. Right.
I haven't.
