Upstart Theatre Company needs YOU!

I know, I know, it has been such a long time in between drinks. This is due to the fact that we are understaffed! If you can or would like to help out with the running of Upstart in any facet, please email us at upstart@iinet.net.au We are now excited to announce that planning is underway for our 2010 Shakespeare on the Lake: THE TEMPEST to be directed by Michael Lamont. One of Shakespeare's late "Romances", the play is a fantasy of shipwrecked lovers, ancient goddesses and musical sprites, a haunted wild man, a magician and his enchanted island home. Outdoors... under starlight... by the Woodlake... Auditions are TBC, but will take place in late June - early July with performances in November/December. Auditionees should be aware of the highly physical nature of our performances in an open air theatre, so now would be a good time to dust off your vocal exercises and jump on that treadmill! If having a theatrical workout is just not your thing, perhaps you would like to join our crew? We are still looking for the following positions to be filled: Production Manager Publicity officer Properties Manager We will also be calling for volunteers for ushering and FOH duties closer to showtime!
