Are you Lee Harvey Oswald?

One Weekend in Dallas makes its world premiere at Roleystone Theatre and the call is out for actors to help bring the immediate aftermath of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination back to life on stage for the very first time. Central to the narrative is Lee Harvey Oswald – the accused assassin of President Kennedy and supposed murderer of Police Officer J.D Tippit. History shows that Oswald himself would not live to survive the weekend of the assassination and in turn stand trial for the crimes, making his brief time in custody all the more intriguing. What forces were so blatantly working to have the world believe in his guilt so quickly?

On the flipside to Oswald’s standing in all this are the key players involved in the frantic investigation that weekend including senior members of Homicide, the Attorney’s office and the FBI which make up the list of characters with pivotal roles in this production.

One Weekend in Dallas will have the audience in a fly on the wall position as questions are asked and answered of one of the most mysterious aspects of the assassination of President Kennedy – the fallout amongst the Dallas authorities.

Auditions will be held in mid – May with the production to take the stage in September and the structure of the play allows for only a small number of cast members to be present at each rehearsal. Please feel free to send any enquiries for roles in both the cast and crew to Writer – Director Paul Abbott on pmabbott82@gmail.com.
