Need to vent
Thu, 25 Mar 2010, 05:57 pmI need to vent. I have just been through the newspaper to see my add for my auditions (Frog Soup) that are this coming Tuesday and the newspaper hasn't put my add in. I am so mad I could kick something. I have just got home from work and it is now 5.30 and they are closed so I can't even ring the and have a go at them. Newspapers! Bllllaaaarrrhhhh! I had one add in two weeks ago but todays was the main one. So sick of incompetance. How hard is it. Aaarrrhhh! Do they ever get it right? The last play I auditioned they forgot to put the date on the add. (Scream. Shake head and breath)

All you can do is think to yourself that you've gotten the word out there in other ways. Facebook, emails, Theatre.asn etc. Unfortunately this means it have been restricted to a closed network of theatre people - which is a shame because we were all 'new' once. But take heart in the knowledge that Frog Soup auditions are the buzz with everyone I've been talking to recently.
And hey...I'm going to be there so what else matters???? (tongue in cheek for all those trolls that are about to jump on there keyboards and give me a serve).

Blessing in disguise..????

We so hear your pain and frustration with this last minute admin hiccup for your auditions. As Skybe said, hopefully all your other promo efforts will see you right.
Perhaps it may prove to be a blessing in disguise that you arrived home too late to ring the newspaper and 'have a go at them'. Words spoken in frustration and anger sometimes have a bad way of complicating relationships with people and businesses we need on side in the future. Grace under pressure is surely the ultimate test of a good director too.
