Gordon the Optom7 posts in thread

I was sitting this morning having a cup of coffee in a shopping centre cafe, and noticed that a girl and her brother were both reading Terry Pratchett books. The girl nudged her brother and pointed at her book then at me; I looked away and wondered if my fly was open.

Later, at the cash desk queue, the youngsters were standing behind me, and so I told them that if they liked Terry Pratchett stories that there was a play at Stirling Theatre at the moment. They thanked me.

A few minutes later in another store, the boy came up to me and asked me for my autograph.

I said ‘thanks, but I am not Terry.’ He looked disappointed and embarrassed. Should I have signed the book and kept the boy happy?

Thanks for the plug Gordon! Hope to see you and all Terry Pratchett fans down at the theatre to see Lords and Ladies. We opened to a large house of satisfied patrons. This is a huge show with a cast of 30 and many young people treading the boards for the first time. Experienced actresses Ursula Johnson and Claire Westheafer lead the team as Granny and Nanny and Krystl Ride, a 3rd year WAAPA student features as Magrat. Another play with three strong female lead roles, where the males provide important support roles. A great nights' entertainment, so hope to see you all there! PS Gordon, maybe you should have given them an autograph, would have made their day. Cheers Christine Ellis
