Hi! I am a professional filmmaker and have studied acting as well as several styles of martial arts. This year I am running a course at Camden RSL (in South Western Sydney) on Saturday mornings, for teens and adults (sensible pre-teens may also come along) that delves into movie magic and how your favourite movie stunts are done. It is safe and a whole lot of fun! You can learn acting skills, mixed with stunts, fencing and martial arts styles all in one hour a week! The swordplay component is basically learning fencing skills and incorporating a bit of acting with it to create great swordplay scenes, and this is done with foam swords so you don't get hurt as you learn these skills. You can just stay with a foam sword or eventually work up to a wooden one etc. We re-enact fight and stunt scenes from movies and film them professionally for you, and even have a state gymnast and martial arts expert come in and assist 2 classes each term! There is no other class like it in Sydney, so call 0404 263 278 to enrol or for more information! Term 1 starts on Saturday 6th February!
