Ruthless! The Musical - God Help Me I’m Talented !

 
Playlovers are proud to present an hilarious, satirical look at show business with the award-winning musical Ruthless,  directed by well-known WA musical theatre performer, Tyler Jones.
 
Ruthless is a musical about talent, overwhelming ambition and how to deal with obstacles that stand in the way. Showbiz is show biz, even when the production in question is a third-grade play. Tina Denmark who was born to entertain with a burning desire to be famous, is the talented junior who will do absolutely anything for the lead in the upcoming school play!

Wildly parodying classic musicals (Mame, Gypsy) and Hollywood films (All About Eve, The Women, The Bad Seed), Ruthless promises laughs, gasps, murder, mayhem, music and more than a few raised eyebrows! Despite the barbs it threw at the genre, including the comic show-stopper I Hate Musicals, it won the New York Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical.
 
Director Tyler Jones says “I love this musical; it’s dark, twisted and totally hilarious”. Tyler has been in regular contact with the author Joel Paley, “He’s been a great resource to have. We’re using a brand new revision of the script, personally entrusted to us by the author, that has never been produced on stage before”.
 
With Tyler's talented direction, musical direction by David Gray, choreography by Rhoda Lopez, and highly talented cast, Ruthless is destined to be yet another production hit for Playlovers.
