ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST St Bede's College Mentone is pleased to announce their drama this year will be "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" in August 27th 28th 29th and september 4th 5th . tickets Concession $ 15.00 Adults $ 20.00 Corner of Palermo and Granville streets,Mentone RP McMurphy is a charming rogue who contrives to serve a short sentence in an airy mental institution rather in a prison. This, he learns, was a mistake. He clashes with the ward supervisor, Nurse Ratched, a fierce martinet. Quickly, he takes over the yard and accomplishes what the medical profession has been unable to do for twelve years; he makes a presumed deaf and dumb Indian talk. He leads others out of introversion, stages a revolt so that they can see the World Series on television and arranges a rollicking midnight party with liquor and chippies. This behaviour sets up a series of confrontations with Nurse Ratched which leads to devastating and unforeseen consequences.
