Short Film Auditions
Mon, 17 Aug 2009, 03:46 pmThe film is titled 'Fire With Fire' and is being produced under the OOMPF funding initiative from the Film and Television Institute.
What’s it about?
Jemima Smiley must learn to fight back against a cruel and manipulative schoolyard bully named Chad Biggs. Chad has all the students and teachers on his side, but in the end Jemima must expose him for what he really is…A coward.
Fire With Fire is a comedy that people of all ages will find relevant, fun, and entertaining. Upon completion it will be roughly 10 minutes in length and entered into film festivals around the world!
We are holding auditions on Wednesday 26th and Thursday the 27th of August at the Film & Television Institute, 92 Adelaide Street, Fremantle. Roles available are:
JEMIMA: 9-12 yrs old. The hero of the story. Chad’s main bully target.
CHAD: 9-12 yrs old. The bad guy of the story.
YEN: 9-12 yrs old. A quiet Asian boy also bullied by Chad.
CLASSROOM KIDS: There are extra roles available, 9-12 yrs old.
TEACHERS: Two teacher roles, MISS WEAKLEY, from mid 20’s to 50’s, no major age restrictions. MR GEOFF JEFFREY, the principle, 40’s to 60’s.
It's not paid (possibly some bread and butter money for the adult roles, no confirmation at this stage), but will be a great experience and opportunity to work with a professional film crew. The production values will be high and it will be sent to film festivals around the world.
If people can email me to register their interest, request a script, and organize an audition time that would be great.
Sincerely,
Ethan Marrell
