Name: Rottnest Comedy & Short Film Festival Date: Friday 28 - 30 Aug 2009 Featuring: Tame Impala, French Rockets, Injured Ninja, DJ Charlie Bucket Venue: Rottnest Island The inaugural Rottnest Comedy & Short Film Festival is set to showcase Western Australia’s best comedians, filmmakers and musicians. The Festival will hold the final round of the Bankwest “Best of the West” Stand up Competition. MC for the event will be Jeff Green (UK) who is a regular at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has appeared on ABC’s Spicks and Specks. Western Australia’s best comedy short films will be assembled to showcase the year’s funniest productions. Headlining the musical element will be Perth’s own Tame Impala with Injured Ninja, French Rockets and DJ Charlie Bucket. This event is the first of its kind in Australia.
