SW Drama One Act Festival - Expressions of Interest due 19 June
Wed, 17 June 2009, 09:41 pm30th SOUTH WEST DRAMA FESTIVAL 2009--11/12/13 SEPTEMBER HOSTED BY BUNBURY REPERTORY CLUB AT THE NEW LYRIC THEATRE.
Expression of Interest forms were sent out in April to our friends in the Community Theatre fraternity in WA. If your club has not received this information please contact Maureen Eaton, the Co-ordinator at breaton@westnet.com.au
We are delighted to announce that our adjudicator this year will be Ross McGregor from WAAPA. Ross has extensive experience in the industry and has also lectured at NIDA and VCA and at many colleges in America and Australia. His experience covers acting, teaching, directing (theatre and screen) and script structure. As well as working with adults Ross has also worked with many young people including directing at the Australian Theatre for Young People and was Head of Directing at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.
Ross will be accompanied by his wife, well-known professional actress, Angela Punch McGregor. who is also currently lecturing at WAAPA.
Angela will be remembered for her roles in The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith, Newsfront and We of the Never Never (to name a few).
Ross and Angela will be happy to participate in an open forum (if time permits) so get your Expression of Interest forms in preferably by the due date of 19th June and be part of our very friendly Festival.
